Chemotherapy: cannabidiol to relieve pain

The pain-relieving properties of cannabis are already known and some countries such as the United Kingdom and Spain have already authorized its use for therapeutic purposes. For lead author Sara Jane Ward, "cannabidiol has the therapeutic qualities of cannabis without the side effects. The study of 146 mice (26 males and 120 females) under going on paclitaxel treatment shows that CBD completely prevents the chills and pain induced by the chemotherapy drug. In addition, stopping CBD did not result in neuropathic disorders.

Cannabidiol is of great interest to researchers, as evidenced by the number of clinical studies currently being conducted in the United States. Many avenues are being explored to test its effectiveness for certain inflammatory diseases, psychiatric including the phenomenon of addiction.
